Tue Aug 18, 2009, 7:37 PM
i got myself a bamboo fun tablet and i used it for the first time in this deviation:

and i had so much fun with it. i know, a bamboo fun tablet isn't really all that great but i love the paper-like texture. you guys have no idea what kind of tablet i've been using for a couple of years prior to this one. my old one jumps parts of the monitor, like i can't access any menu from any software with it. plus, i have to rattle it every time the pen is away from the tablet to make it work again. with my new tablet it's all fun fun fun :XD:

my pathetic year-end post

Thu Dec 25, 2008, 5:35 PM
contrary to what my dormant status here in dA might make a lot of you think, i did get to draw ever since that last post where i looked like i was forever testing my jounal CSS XD the nicest part about it was that i was able to use it in my line of work. it's not just any kind of drawing i do tho, it's the kind that i usually post here in dA, where i sketch in paper and i color using painter, that same kind that takes me a long long time to finish :giggle:

anyway, posting each artwork separately would only stray from the whole objective of the plug it came from. so i'll be sharing the whole plug first here:

...and then post each artwork here later on. some of you guys might've seen this already on TV. a few already asked me if i was the one who did the plug, and i get surprised people actually recognized it was done my me :XD:

yes, it's the holiday season and all i could post is something centered on me. some ego i have hahaha happy holidays everyone!

testing new journal CSS

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 24, 2008, 7:25 PM
testing testing :w00t: :w00t:

i've been subscribed here in DA for almost half a year now, about time i did a proper CSS layout :D i didn't bother adding extra features not only because i'm lazy to do additional coding but also because i didn't want an overcrowded journal.

coding = nostalgia;

it's always fun meeting new people and i got to finally meet in person a whole bunch of DA members during the event. i got to talk to some of them while the rest were kinda busy drawing, having their pics taken and i got a wee bit shy to actually introduce myself and disturb them from what they were doing :XD:

because of my measly budget, i only bought a few things from the event: a stuffed toy of the 1-up mushroom in mario, issue 5 of mangaholix, happy sweet's indie, and budjette tan and ka-jo baldisimo's trese vol. 1. just read the 1st chapter of trese as of this writing and i find it really really nice. budjette and ka-jo had an open forum and i asked about how they went on making the comic while having their jobs in advertising agencies. they did it by managing their free time properly, setting internal deadlines and adjusting them whenever they see the need to do some refining. then when i finally bought my own autographed copy (HWEEEEEEE!) they were nice enough to answer some more questions i was able to throw at them. my point in telling this? i really wanted to make a comic but at the same time i wanted to be financially stable. hearing them answer my questions about publishing, etc. made me want to actually push through my dream of making my own graphic novel without actually sacrificing too much time and money. saya!

i didn't get to stay that long at the event because i can't stand seeing merchandise that i cannot buy :XD: oh, and i was really happy to see my work as part of the exhibit. yay taal!
